- paper edgers, long scallop (Fiskars®)
- 1/8" paper punch (Fiskars®)
- scissors
- craft knife

used for this example but you can certainly substitute any similar
product to achieve similar results. |

Steps
1 Print out postcard image scaled at 100%. Let ink
dry, then spray with protectant if desired.With fine-tip permanent
marker, retrace the faint words at bottom of image – HEALTH
AND WEALTH FOR THE NEW YEAR!’.Trim image from photo sheet.
2 Using scallop edgers, cut a rectangle from black and white paper
1/2" larger all around than image. TIP: cut rounded corners
using a regular scissors and use the edgers to cut only the sides.
Punch a hole in each scallop.
3 Similarly cut a scallop-edge rectangle 1/4" wider all around
than black/white rectangle from cream paper.
4 Trim red and white polka-dot paper to 10" x 7" and
fold in half for 5" x 7" card. Layer image and scalloped
rectangles, all centered, and attach to card.
5 Add Scrabble letters to spell ‘THANK YOU’ as shown.
Flatten or remove shank from back of clock button and glue on top
of clock face on postcard image. |
